AMCAD is becoming ÆMIS: what the transition means for RF test and measurement
AMCAD, ITEST and WUPATEC are now bringing their activities together under one shared identity: ÆMIS. The identity will be rolled out in early 2027, with a common website planned to present their expertise and solutions in one place.
The AMCAD expertise within ÆMIS
AMCAD develops instruments and test solutions for RF and microwave components and circuits. Its offering includes pulsed current-voltage measurement systems and RF switch matrices, alongside solutions for more complex test setups.
Consider a project involving the characterisation of an RF component. The engineer may need to measure its electrical behaviour under defined conditions, connect several instruments and evaluate the results as part of a wider development process. AMCAD addresses the measurement and characterisation side of that work.
Other stages of a project can call for different expertise. ITEST designs modular current and voltage supplies and reliability test benches. WUPATEC develops RF and digital systems for communication applications. Bringing these activities under ÆMIS aims to make their connections clearer, particularly for projects that involve more than one discipline.
This is an evolution of how these capabilities are presented and coordinated. It does not change the technical question a customer first comes to AMCAD to solve: how to obtain useful measurements from a demanding RF or microwave test setup.
Where can you find AMCAD solutions during the transition?
For the time being, AMCAD remains visible under its own name, accompanied by “ÆMIS Business Unit”. You can continue to explore its instruments, applications and articles on this website.
In early 2027, a common ÆMIS website is planned to bring the group’s offers together. It will provide a shared entry point for discovering expertise previously presented across the AMCAD, ITEST and WUPATEC websites. Practical details about the transition will be communicated as they are confirmed.
